Neighbourhood Renewal promotes health and wellbeing by encouraging community participation. The community arts initiative, 'My Family Project', engaged local students and community members in celebrating what's important to them about their families.

Eaglehawk Secondary College students helped out willingly at a Clean Up Australia Day event held at the Jobs Gully Natural Features Reserve in Eaglehawk.Neighbourhood Renewal is working with others to improve safety in the area. Partners in the process of achieving this key objective are local Neighbourhood Watch members and Victoria Police officers stationed in Eaglehawk.Neighbourhood Renewal expands opportunities for learning. The Focus Centre is an innovative learning site, located next to the Neighbourhood Renewal Shopfront, supporting students to stay engaged with the education system.Neighbourhood Renewal is enabling improvements to residents' housing and the local environment. New fences not only add to the appearance of the home but encourage pride in the garden. One local resident shares her satisfaction with Office of Housing staff.Neighbourhood Renewal increases government responsiveness and access to services. The Bright Street Community Park Redevelopment Committee welcome news of a grant from the City of Greater Bendigo and Sport and Rec Victoria to provide the community with a new playground.
