Setting the scene
Fitzroy Neighbourhood Renewal began in 2002 and will continue until 2009.
Neighbourhood Renewal is providing education and learning opportunities

The InfoXchange "Reach for the Clouds" project and the eACE (Atherton Community Enterprise) projects were launched at the Atherton Gardens Community Centre. The project aims to facilitate access to information technologies by Atherton Gardens residents who may otherwise lack the financial capacity to purchase and maintain computer equipment and electronic communication services.
Progress against the six objectives
The six key objectives of Neighbourhood Renewal are:
-
increased pride and participation
-
improved employment, learning and local economic activity
-
enhanced housing and environment
-
reduced crime and greater safety
-
better health and wellbeing
-
increased access to services and improved government responsiveness
