Neighbourhood Renewal encourages the community to work together on the input and production of the Community Magazine. A competition was conducted for the local residents to name their magazine and so the Neighbourhood Renewal in conjunction with Goulburn Valley Community Health Services, City of Greater Shepparton, Camp Quality and GO TAFE are working together to provide 20 local youth the opportunity to enhance their chances of education or employment by offering Certificate II in automotive, personal development, mentoring and fund raising activities.Neighbourhood Renewal encourages the residents of Parkside estate to take pride in the area and participate in activities. The hard work that has gone into establishing this lovely garden is evidence of community pride in the local gardens and the physical environment.Enhancing learning outcomes is a key objective of Neighbourhood Renewal. The Neighbourhood Renewal supports the great initiative of Best Start to establish a walking school bus. Gowrie Street Primary pupils are keen and eager to attend school. In the past 12 months the walking bus has enhanced school attendance rates.Neighbourhood Renewal encourages residents to participate in the educational programs being offered at the North Shepparton Community & Learning Centre. This gives residents a sense of belonging, increases pride and participation in their community, and also increases their prospects to further training or employment.
